How does talk and text work with my build your own plan?

What are the available talk and text packages?

MobileX offers three talk and text options:

  • 50 minutes / 50 texts
  • 150 minutes / 150 texts
  • Unlimited minutes and texts

How do the talk and text limits work?

Talk and text are bundled, meaning if you exceed your limit in either minutes or texts, you will lose access to both services until your next billing cycle or until you purchase another package.

For example:

  • If you have the 50/50 package and use 51 texts (even if you used 0 minutes), both calling and texting will be suspended.
  • If you have the 150/150 package and use 150 minutes and 151 texts, your talk and text will be suspended.
  • The unlimited package gives you full access to calling and texting with no caps.

Do inbound (received) calls and texts count toward my limits?

Yes. Both incoming and outgoing calls and texts count toward your allotment.

So if you’re on the 150/150 plan and receive 80 texts and send 70, you’ve used your full 150-text allotment.


How are group texts counted?

Group texts count as one message per recipient.
So if you send a group message to 4 people, it will count as 4 texts toward your total.


What happens when I hit my limit?

Once you exceed either your voice or text limit:

  • Your talk and text access will be suspended until the next billing cycle starts.

Will my talk and text reset each month?

Yes. Your talk and text limits reset at the start of each billing cycle.
